At thirty-three, Warner Truman is one of the richest men on the planet, a spa mogul who buys and sells resorts at will. He holds powerful executives’ careers in his well-groomed hands. Nothing is beyond Warner’s reach…until he meets her.
Stunning, tantalizing and perverse, Taddy Brill captivates Warner’s carnal desire like no woman he’s ever met. A self-made millionaire, Taddy is tougher than steel, more brilliant than diamonds and, at twenty-seven, she’s never depended on a man for anything…until she meets him.
The more Taddy plays with Warner’s affections, driving him to erotic heights, the more she is confronted by a dark past. Before she can love him, Taddy must meet her worst fears head-on or risk losing it all, including herself.
Taddy Brill is the owner of Brill Inc, a profitable PR firm in New York. Her family is her lifelong friends from boarding school. They have a special bond that has carried them through the years and she relies on their support. While on holiday with Vive and Lex, Taddy meets the man of her dreams but things don’t turn out as planned. Months later, they reconnect under the unusual circumstances and pick up right where they left off.
Warner is a very private person that has worked had to propel his resort business to the top. Not only did he catch his ex-finance with his brother but she was lying about being pregnant. He is determined to make his business a success but his priorities change during a chance encounter on New Year’s Eve. Now, if he can only find his vajazzeled Red again, he plans to never let her go.
I have been intrigued with Taddy since we first met her in Undressed. She is a smart, sexy business woman that is self-made. She has the best friends in the world that she considers her family and couldn’t have survived her teen years without them. Her relationship with her parents is non-existent and when she gets a call from her mother out of the blue, she is shocked by her offer.
Taddy is a very complicated person that has her own demons to battle. They cause her to keep people at arm’s length, it’s the only way she can protect herself and keep people from hurting her. The only people she lets in are her best friends but they can’t fill all the voids in her life. When she meets Warner, there is something about him that instantly draws her to him. She begins to open up and let him in and in the meantime she learns that is it ok to let go once in a while.
The story is full of interesting characters and exotic locales. I loved seeing Lex and Vive again the little hints that have been dropped about Taddy’s parentage make me wonder who her father is. I hope in the next book we find out more about that story, along with an update on her mom. I can’t wait to read the next installment in this series.
Overall I loved this Unscrupulous and give it 4 Flaming Hearts.
