Voodoo for TwoVoodoo for Two #2 by Elle James
* I received a copy of this book from Entangled Publishing in exchange for an honest review*

Determined to marry the most eligible bachelor in the parish to save her family, Lucie LeBieu turns a “love bug” loose to cast its Voodoo spell. What she doesn’t count on is hitting two targets—the golden boy congressional candidate and her Cajun-hot ex. To set things right, she must undo the spell before she falls into bed—and back in love—with a certain down and dirty heartbreakin’ cop or breaks another man’s heart.

Undercover investigator Ben Boyette is back in Louisiana on special assignment when he runs across his old flame, brewing up trouble as usual. But when hometown threats turn deadly, Lucie’s life is on the line. Determined to protect both her and his politician assignment from falling victim to a murderer, Ben finds that he’s the one who’s falling hard for the irresistible bayou temptress.

Lucie gave up her dream seven years ago when she broke up with Ben Boyette so he would follow his.  Lucie is overwhelmed, looking for a way to save her grandmother’s house and get out of the bayou and her heritage may be just the answer.  The only problem, every time she has tried to use voodoo in the past, it has backfired and caused more trouble than good.  A simple love spell is the answer to her problems; she just hopes it will work this one time.

I was pulled into this story right from the beginning.  The characters are interesting and funny and I couldn’t wait to see how the story was going to end.  I loved Lucie’s from the start, she has a good heart and tries to do the right thing but she just goes about it wrong.  She sees Eric as the answer to all her problems but the more she is around him, the more she realizes that what she is doing is wrong.  She and Ben have a history that just won’t go away and neither will he.  In the end she does the right thing for everyone, including herself and everything works out.

Ben and Eric have been friends for a long time and now Ben has returned home to help protect Eric from the crazy stalker following him.  The only problem, how can he protect Eric when he can’t even protect his own heart?  He knows that he is playing with fire with Lucie but he just can’t seem to stay away from her.  Eric has also fallen hard for her, which has put a strain on Ben’s friendship with him.  After several near misses on Eric and Lucie’s life, Ben is even more determined to have her again if he can just convince her.

This story was full of humor and comedy; it had me laughing at Lucie’s antics trying to find that ladybug.  She got herself into some really sticky situations and Ben always seemed to be the one to rescue her, even though she thought Eric was her knight in shining armor.  I have to admit in the romance triangle between Ben, Eric and Lucie; I was rooting for Ben and Lucie.  Eric is a good guy but he just didn’t seem the right person for Lucie.  The intrigue was always in the background but it was important to the story and kept it interesting.  Overall it all worked well together to make a wonderful story.

Overall I enjoyed this story very much and have even picked up the first book in the series.  I give Voodoo for Two 4 Flaming Hearts. 4 Hearts

Lawe's JusticeLawe’s Justice (Breeds #26) by Lora Leigh
* This book is part of my personal library*

In Lora Leigh’s scorching new Breed novel, two adversaries are destined to explore the only thing they have in common: an irresistible mating heat…

Diane Broen’s lived to protect her younger sister Rachel from harm. But now that Rachel has been mated off, Diane’s occupied herself with less fulfilling tasks at the Genetics Council–until she’s paired with a new team member, a Breed male notorious for his attitude, and a touch that makes her recoil.

Lawe isn’t thrilled with her either. A lion at heart, he prefers a lair of solitude. When it comes to females, he’d rather snarl than purr. And while fate may have paired them to fight on the same team, neither is willing to admit to the obvious: the mating heat between them is positively incinerating.

It’s only when danger threatens that they make a hotter-than-hell connection–one so explosive it could destroy them. Or, as providence reveals, bind them together, forever.

Diane and her team have been working with the Breed soldiers trying to find an antidote for her niece Amber.  She and her sister Rachel have lost their family and Diane will do anything to keep them safe, even ignore the heat rising inside her every time she is around Lawe.  Ever since he helped rescue her, Diane can’t Lawe off her mind, he’s her mate but she knows that if she gives in, she is going to lose herself forever.

Lawe has never forgotten how he felt when he rescued Diane and realized that she was his mate.  He has stepped back and let her continue to do her job while his team makes sure she stays safe.  He senses her hurt every time they are together; because of his need to protect and her desire for freedom they continue to dance around the mating heat.

I love Diane, she is a strong female lead that is a trained fighter that is lethal and would do anything in the world for her family.  She has been tracking down leads for some teens that escaped the labs years ago; they alone may hold the secret to Amber’s cure.  The odds are stacked against her; she is having to prove herself to Lawe, she has a traitor on her team and she is in a battle against time to find those young adults.

Lawe is your typical alpha male.  He has the breed mentality ingrained in his DNA, mates always come first.  Jonas wants him to take a desk job but he lives for the field, if he can only convince Diane that the best place for her is safe at home.  He can feel how deeply Diane is hurting every time they are together but he just can’t allow her to continue taking jobs in the field.  He has held off initiating the mating heat because he knows they will both be lost with the first kiss and he can’t risk her safety.

The story continues right where the short story An Inconvenient Mate leaves off.  It not only tells the story of Lawe and Diane but it is action packed with glimpses of some of our favorite characters from past books.  I can’t wait to find out if the three they are looking for will be able to help baby Amber, I feel so bad for the little angel.  The ending was my favorite because Lawe finally understands what both he and Diane need out of their relationship.

Overall I enjoyed this story and can’t wait to read the next one in the series.  I give Lawe’s Justice 4 Flaming Hearts.  4 Hearts

Calling the ShotsCalling the Shots (Long Shots #4) by Christine d’Abo
* I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review*

He’s had a wild ride, and now sex club owner Josh Scott is looking for a change of scene. But first, he’s determined to bring two friends together, and he’s willing to be a third wheel to move things along…

Beth Norris is eager to be set up with hot bartender Oliver Stephenson, but she’s equally attracted to matchmaker Josh. Soon she’s fantasizing about both men at once—and about being the one to call the shots in the encounter…

Ready to move on with his life post-divorce, Oliver is conflicted by the realization that he’s attracted to women and men. Or more specifically, to Beth and Josh. He tries to keep his distance, but it’s not long before the chemistry between the trio combusts in a night of mind-blowing sex.

In the light of day, it’s clear something deeper than desire is growing between Josh, Beth and Oliver. But though Josh has helped others find love in unconventional relationships, is he willing to take a chance on one himself?

Josh may be comfortable with his sexual preferences, not everyone in his life has shared that sentiment.  He has been carrying around the scars of his childhood for years and has always held everyone at an arm’s length.  His pride and joy is his club, Mavericks.  He designed it himself to ensure that no one would ever have to be embarrassed or ashamed to explore their sexual needs and desires.  Now the club is under attack and Josh’s past is closing in on him, will he finally let the two people that love him in?

Beth loves her job as Josh’s assistant and would do anything in the world for him.  He saved her when he gave her a job and she is good at it.  She has started having fantasies about not only Josh, but their sexy bartender Oliver too.  She has a policy of not mixing business with pleasure though after getting fired from her last job.  There is just something about those two though that would make her reconsider her stance, now if she can convince them to play too.

Oliver has been struggling with his life since his wife cheated on him and took all his money.  He has been working as a bar tender and avoiding her like the plague. He has become fast friends with his bosses and admires them both.  For the first time in his life, Oliver is questioning his own sexuality and Josh and Beth are just the right people to help him explore his needs and desires.

I was so excited when I found out we were going to finally get Josh’s story.  I feel in love with him in Double Shot, Paul and Sadie’s story.  Paul is not only his business partner but also his best friend and he has been in love with him for years.  He is happy for Paul but he seems a little jealous of the relationship between Paul and Sadie.  He wants that for himself but doesn’t think he deserves it because he will only bring heartache to the people he loves.  I love that he is confident in his own desires and needs but is selective who he plays with.

The club is his world and he will do whatever it takes to keep his members safe, while allowing them to try out their most secret fantasies.  He doesn’t want anyone to go through what he did as a youth, everyone is safe there.   His mother called him names and tried to brainwash him through her religious cult until his dad rescued him.  His past has left him broken, at least in his opinion and he doesn’t feel like he deserves to be happy in a relationship.  It takes losing his club and life to realize that it is worth taking a risk on an unconventional relationship with Oliver and Beth.

I think my favorite thing about this story is that really each one of them comes with a lot of baggage.  Josh has his history, Beth has a poor track record with relationships and Oliver’s wife cheated on him and cleaned him out.  Each one thinks they are too broken to desire a chance at happiness but after one incredible night spent together, they begin to hope and dream.  They are good for each other and bring out the best in each other; I am glad they found a way to make their relationship work.

I found the scenes inside Mavericks interesting.  I personally don’t know anything about sex clubs and found the descriptions fascinating.  It gave me an insider’s perspective of what goes on and all the things you can experience without being offensive or too much.

I love this series and I think this was my favorite book so far.  I give Calling the Shots 4 Flaming Hearts.   4 Hearts

Immortal Ever AfterImmortal Ever After by Lynsay Sands
*A review copy of this book was received from Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review*

A kiss doesn’t mean eternity . . .

Valerie Moyer doesn’t believe in vampires—until she is kidnapped by a fanged psychopath! After escaping her bloodthirsty captor, she’s through with creatures of the night. Until she finds herself under the protection of the darkly handsome Anders. Not only is she expected to accept that Anders is immortal, but also that she is the woman destined to be his life mate!

. . . Or does it?

Anders felt a connection to Valerie from the moment he cradled her bruised body in his arms. But before he claims her, he must destroy the vampire who almost stole her from him forever. His job would be easier if Valerie didn’t fight him every step of the way. Still, Anders loves a challenge, and the green-eyed beauty is worth fighting for!

Valerie has moved to town temporarily to hone her veterinary skills at the local university.  While out walking Roxy, Valerie is drugged and kidnapped along with several other girls.  The girls are kept in cages and fed laced oatmeal until it’s their turn to feed the rogue vampire that has taken them.  The only family she has is her dog Roxy so when she goes missing there’s no one to notice.

Anders has been watching his friends and fellow enforcers drop like flies as they find their lifemates.  They are shorthanded now and waiting for reinforcements when they intercept a suspicious call to the local police.  The women were in bad shape, especially the one they found outside.  He never expected to find his own lifemate among them.

Immortal Ever After is the newest installment in the Argeneau series by Lynsay Sands and it definitely doesn’t disappoint.  The characters are interesting and lots of fun to get to know.  The story is filled with not only new characters but characters we have grown to love throughout the series.  I love that this series is so much fun to read; the stories are full of romance, love and humor.

Valerie is a great match for Anders, she is spunky and fun but she isn’t a damsel in distress.  While in captivity, she comes to the realization that it’s up to her to save herself and the girls.  She becomes fast friends with Leigh and the others but her reaction to Anders continues to puzzle her.  She isn’t looking for love or a relationship; (she’s been down that road) because of Anders, she is reassessing her life and love.

Anders isn’t interested in going through the drama his friends are going through when they find their lifemates.  He constantly gives Bricker a hard time because he is always hungry and wanting to stop for food.  Now he finds himself enjoying food again, little by little, starting with ice cream.  The moment he realized he couldn’t read Valerie, he knew he was in trouble but he was looking forward to finding out what fate had in store for him.

The heroine is strong and able to take care of herself but isn’t afraid to ask for help when she needs it.  She takes the information that they are immortals in stride, even though she thought her capture was a vampire wannabe.  I love that she was able to keep her wits about her to figure out a way to escape “Igor” and his boss by herself.  One of my favorite scenes was when she and Leigh were in the van and she had a mallet in her hand, I laughed so hard at that whole scene.  In the end, Anders was able to step in and help her so he could play hero too.

Overall I really enjoyed this book and loved visiting with some of my favorite characters from previous books.  I give Immortal Ever After 4 Flaming Hearts.   4 Hearts

Finally My LoveFinally, My Love (Internet Romance #1) by Kate Richards
* I received a copy of this book from Breathless Press in exchange for an honest review*

Amelia Staker meets her Internet lover, John Quincy, for the first time in the flesh. After a year of seeing John only through webcam, she’s ready to show him a good time. Without a moment to waste, Amelia is prepared for two weeks with John—alone, with no computer screens between them—until the elevator puts a hold on those plans. Stuck in a darkened cab, their imaginations run hotter than their online trysts. Can this romance translate into a permanent future? Or will she send him packing?

Amelia is finally going to meet John, her internet lover after a year of online dating.  She is nervous about meeting John and hopes that he won’t be disappointed when he finally sees her.  She is excited to show him her city and can’t believe her luck when they get stranded in the elevator of her apartment building.

John has hedged his bets where Amelia is concerned.  He has already made plans with his partner to buy him out so he can move out to California and be with her.  He has been in love with her since the beginning and is tired of having a cyber-relationship.  He is ready for the real thing.

Their first face to face meeting was not what either of them expected but they decided to take full advantage of the time they were stranded in the elevator.  Let’s just say they fantasies were fulfilled.  John was such a gentleman when he took command with the repairmen and got her out of there to avoid embarrassment.

This was a sexy story about a first meeting between cyber lovers and it didn’t disappoint.  They have known each other for a year so they have had plenty of time to get to know each other and fall in love.  I wouldn’t be surprised if there wasn’t a little of the author and her husband in this story since they met on line years over ten years ago.

I finally got to read the first story in Kate Richard’s Internet Dating series, after reading the second (Perfect Partners) and third (Devils and Angels) installments.  I enjoyed Finally My Love and give it 4 Flaming Hearts.  4 Hearts

The Asylum Interviews - TrixieThe Asylum Interviews: Trixie (Prequel #2) by Jocelynn Drake
*A review copy of this book was received from Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review*

The second of two prequel stories to Jocelynn Drake’s Angel’s Ink.

Gage’s ex-girlfriend is back in town and needs help escaping a master vampire. While not the easiest of tasks, he certainly didn’t count of getting help from a mysterious woman with a few secrets of her own.

Gage’s tattoo business is growing and he is looking to add another artist to his shop.  When the mysterious woman walks in looking for a job, he never expected it to lead to a showdown with a master vampire.

Trixie is new in town and she has her own secrets.  She needs Gage’s help to save their mutual friend Jo from a master vampire.  She uses her need for a job to get her foot in the door.  Once there she has to convince Gage that he is the only one that can help save Jo.

Gage tries to stay below the radar as much as possible and going after a master vampire is sure to draw attention to him.  He knows he can’t turn his back on Jo, even though he didn’t even know she was back in town.  All he has to do is figure how to get her out, when she says she’s fine.

This is the second short novella in the Asylum Tales series and can be read as a stand-alone before Angel’s Ink.  It is action packed and full of interesting characters, including favorites Gage and Bronx.  I loved the addition Jo and Trixie to the mix.

Trixie was an interesting addition to the mix; she’s smart, strong and loyal to her friends.  She is willing to do whatever it takes to save Jo from the master vampire.  She is also mysterious and has some secrets of her own so she fits right in with Gage and Bronx.

Jo is Gage’s ex and she’s back in town.  She is living with a master vampire that doesn’t treat her good but she’s ok with that.  She has her reasons why she doesn’t want anyone to interfere on her behalf.

Overall I enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read Angel’s Ink.  I give The Asylum Tales: Trixie 4 Flaming Hearts.  4 Hearts

Boots & Bareback #3Boots and Bareback (Ugly Stick Saloon #3) by Myla Jackson
* I purchased a copy of this book for my personal library*

Isabella Severs’s life is a shambles. When her fiancé dumped her, he took the horse she’d raised from a colt, and she wants him back. The horse, not the fiancé. Though she’s scrounging every penny working at the Ugly Stick Saloon, there’s no way she’s going to make enough to buy Sundance back before he’s put up for auction.

Until Old Man O’Brien makes her an offer she can’t refuse. One night of stripping for his son Jesse’s bachelor party, and all her problems will be solved.

Sean, Gabe and Tanner aren’t interested in settling with any one girl—until Isabella’s eye-popping performance on a mechanical horse gets their blood pumping. She’s perfect: sexy as hell, and well-suited to ranch life.

Yet as the brothers vie for her attention, they discover there’s a vulnerable woman beneath the sass. And instead of a winner-gets-the-girl competition, they find themselves joining forces to convince her she’s worthy of the love of a good man…or three.

Warning: Pull up a saddle. This is one erotic ride you won’t want to miss. Three hot cowboys, one sexy cowgirl and a mechanical horse that gives a whole new meaning to riding bareback. Caution—stock up on ice and bring your vibrator, this one’s gonna make ccyou burn!

Isabella has lost the most important thing in the world to her, her horse.  She lost her job as a horse trainer when her finance’ dumps her.  Their sexual encounters have left her unsatisfied and doubting her ability to experience the big “O”.  While working at the Ugly Stick Saloon, she meets the O’Brien boys and her life is turned upside down.

Sean, Gabe and Tanner are all sexy single men that have fallen for the same woman.  Their father sets up the “entertainment” for their brother’s bachelor party and they are lost.  Each one has an agenda of their own but none of them are making any headway with her.  The three of them have to come to grips with the fact that Isabella is in love with all of them and doesn’t want to separate them.  They have to find a way to show her that everything will work out or they may lose her.

Isabella’s life has fallen apart on her; she has lost her job, her horse and her finance in one fell swoop.  She doubts her sexuality and with the help of Sean, Gabe and Tanner she is learning that maybe the issues were her finances, not hers.  She is torn though because she has fallen in love with all three of them and is worried that she will come between them.  She has to come to terms with her feelings and let them know how she feels or she will have to walk away.

The scenes with her and the guys steam up the pages of the book.  I loved the scene with them by the lake, very sexy.  They are good together and although they don’t have a conventional relationship, it works for them.  Their father loves her and is happy that his plan worked.

Overall I enjoyed Boots and Bareback and give it 4 Flaming Hearts.   4 Hearts

Between the LinesBetween the Lines by Ivy Bateman
* I received a copy of this book from Breathless Press in exchange for an honest review*

Lara Munroe is perfectly fine with the characters in her books having better sex lives than she does, until the night she meets Devin Monaghan.

When erotica writer Lara Munroe heads down to the ballroom to take part in an extravagant book launch, she has no idea her path will finally cross with political writer Devin Monaghan. He’s smart, sexy, and roguishly handsome, and the chemistry between them is instantaneous. Lara feels her natural guard slip whenever she lays eyes on him. The thought of a night with Devin becomes more than a little distracting.

Devin, who could have any woman in the crowd to share his hotel bed, quickly sets his sights on Lara. He finds her alluring, beautiful, and intoxicating, and his attraction to the erotica writer had started long before their first encounter in the hotel elevator.

Lara and Devin have their careers to think about, a busy evening ahead, and very little chance for verbal communication. However, that doesn’t stop them from coming together. They are both authors, and words are their greatest medium, but even they know that when it comes to figuring out how to get exactly who you want, it could be as simple as reading between the lines.

Laura leaves the sexual exploits up to the characters in her books but just once she would like to let her hair down and have a little fun herself.  While at a book launch party she runs into a fellow writer and sparks fly throughout the night.  Devin has been the center of Laura’s fantasies now he is within her grasp if she is willing to take a chance.

Devin is at the launch party for his new book when he runs into Laura in the elevator.  She is stunning and he is tongue-tied and doesn’t know what to say to her.  He read an article about her in a literary magazine and was intrigued enough to go out and buy some of her books.  While outside for a cigarette, he runs into Laura and things start heating up where she surprises him yet again.

Laura is not typically adventures when it comes to sex, she leaves that up to her characters but when she runs into Devin there is a connection and she wants to take advantage of it for once.  She decides to be a little daring and decides to go commando under her dress, she just never expected things to go the way they did that night.  She is doing things that the characters in her book are usually caught doing, but she is having the time of her life.  He has unlocked something inside of her that has set her free.

Devin is known as the bad boy at their publisher company and never has any problems finding company.  At the party, he is continuously fending off the attention of a buxom red head sitting next to him that can’t take no for an answer.  He only has eyes for Laura and continually steals glances at her throughout the night.  He knows it’s just for the night but hopes that they can continue where they left off in the future, starting with a little conversation.

This was a sexy short story about a woman gaining her sexual freedom and not being afraid of asking for what she wants/needs.  I loved it because they are both writers and they both seemed to be at a loss for words at times throughout the story.  They danced around each other all night until they finally came together and when they did it was magic.

Overall I enjoyed Between the Lines and give it 4 Flaming Hearts. 4 Hearts

Boots & Leather #2Boots and Leather (Ugly Stick Saloon #2) by Myla Jackson
* I purchased a copy of this book for my personal library*

Eight months ago, Libby Jones parked her motorcycle in Temptation, Texas, to work at the Ugly Stick Saloon. Since then she’s grown to love the bar’s feeling of family, but now it’s time to hit the road. The longer she stays, the greater the risk her father’s investigators will track her down.

Yet she can’t resist taking the Gray Wolf twins up on their offer to go riding on their ranch. Even though getting involved should be the last thing on her mind.

Ever since Libby landed at the Ugly Stick, Mark and Luke Gray Wolf have been trying to capture her attention. She’s blown them off at every turn, until now. Their plan: expose her to the delights only twins can provide—and persuade her to stay for the long haul.

Libby’s longing for a life she can’t have makes her delay her departure just a heartbeat too long. Her hesitation gives her past time to walk through the saloon door, and all hell to break loose. Now the twins have a fight on their hands to teach her that being free doesn’t mean she can’t let go of her heart.

Warning: Welcome back to the Ugly Stick Saloon. Pull up a chair and set a spell, you’re gonna wanna hear this tale about two hot Kiowa twins and a leather-clad biker chick. Multiple partners, a little BDSM, and one skinny-dippin’ scene so hot it’ll make the pages sizzle!

Libby rolled into Temptation with the clothes on her back looking for a job so she could move on to the next town.  She has been on the run from her father’s expectations and lifestyle for a while, she has to keep ahead of the investigators or be hauled back home.  She knows it’s time to go but she can’t stand the thought of leaving Audrey and the Gray Wolf Twins.  Libby values her hard earned freedom above all else, will she put it on the line and take a chance on love.

Mark and Luke Gray Wolf are known for being ladies men in town.  They have been trying to catch Libby’s eye since she arrived in town but she steers clear of them.  She is the one woman that has captured the hearts of both men and they are determined to get her, no matter what.  Now they just have to convince her that loving them is worth the risk.

Libby (Elizabeth Stratton) has been on the run from her father for a while.  She has enjoyed the freedom her new life has allowed her, there is nothing like jumping on her bike and taking to the open road whenever she feels the need to escape.  She is smart, beautiful and proved that she can take care of herself.  The only thing missing from her life is a man, which she can’t take a risk on.

She is intrigued by the Gray Wolf Twins and can’t believe they are interested in her.  She decides for once to take a chance, even if it is only for one night.  She knows that if she lets herself, she could fall in love with Mark and Luke.  Not one but three hearts would be broken when she rides out town.

Luke and Mark are sexy twins tired of playing the field and are ready to settle down.  They have been half in love with Libby ever since she arrived in Temptation, TX.  Now that they have had the pleasure of her company, they are more determined than ever that she is the one for them.  She is afraid of something and they know that their future depends on them slaying her dragon.

These three are superhot together.  It’s obvious that they have instant chemistry and blend together well.  They take her to the home they are building and show her that there are different forms of freedom.  The scene under the stars was one of my favorites, it was very hot but there were also some tender moments.  I also loved the moment when chaos erupted in the bar at the cowboy masquerade.  The ending was perfect.

Overall I enjoyed Boots and Leather and give it 4 Flaming Hearts.

The Asylum Interviews: Bronx (Prequel #1) by Jocelynn Drake
*A review copy of this book was received from Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review*

In Low Town, where humans walk and work side-by-side with elves, vampires, ogres, and all manner of creature, it’s understandable that people occasionally need a little help in their lives. Whether is love, work, or … other, tattoo artists are there to try to help turn the odds into your favor.

When Gage’s friend Parker needs help with his love life, tattoo artists Gage and Bronx are only too happy to help. But the incubus ends up getting more than he bargained for with his new tattoo, and his friends are forced to scramble to fix the mess they’ve created before someone gets hurt.

Gage owns a tattoo parlor and tries to keep a low profile.  He’s a wizard that tends to weave his magic with his tattoo potions, even though he isn’t supposed to be practicing magic.  He is looking for a new tattoo artist since his business is really taking off and Bronx may be the solution.

Bronx is the new troll in town and he is looking for a job.  He becomes Gage’s new best friend and protector when he finds him passed out on the floor of the women’s bathroom.  When Parker asks for help finding a way to save his relationship, Gage enlists Bronx’s help in coming up with solution.  They never expected the new tattoo would affect more than just Parker’s relationship.

Gage is a wizard but he’s been banned from practicing magic or face a death sentence by the Wizards of the Ivory Towers.  He risks exposure every time he mixes his magic with his tattoo potions.  He is good at what he does and his business is growing.  He needs help and Bronx just happens to be in the right place at the right time.

Bronx is new in town and looking for a job.  He isn’t very talkative when it comes to his past but that’s ok with Gage, who has secrets of his own.  Bronx is a troll and fits in well with the other super natural beings in town.  He jumps right in to help with Parker’s problem; they just never expected the tattoo to work so well.  Together they come up with a solution to undo the tattoo spell that Bronx designed.

This is a short story prequel designed to introduce us to Gage and his world.  I really enjoyed this story and getting to know Gage and Bronx.  I can’t wait to read more in this world because this story has intrigued me.  The characters are interesting and fun with just enough of a paranormal element.

Overall I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading the first full length book in the series, Angel’s Ink.  I give The Asylum Interviews: Bronx 4 Flaming Hearts.
